The Lantern at the Library · demo-pro

Author photoBy [Sample] Amahle Ndlovu · Grade 7 · Ubuntu Heights School

After the final bell, Lihle found a small lantern glowing between two library shelves. It did not light the room; it lit the titles of books that a reader most needed. Every afternoon she followed its glow, reading about courage, science, friendship and faraway places. Soon her classmates joined her. They learned that the real magic was not the lantern at all, but the habit of opening one more book and sharing what they discovered.
